Ideal for customers wanting optimum aerodynamic performance in high-wind conditions, cross-wind conditions, or regular high-speed driving. WK2 ROOF RACK (Aero) can be used as a replacement for the ROOF RACK (Stealth Air Dam) or in combination.

Bought the roof rack a few years back. I would remove the planks for everyday driving because the noise was annoying and I couldn't get the plank configuration right (especially with the sunroof vented and at highway speeds). I saw this and wanted to try it because not having the planks on permanently was very inconvenient.
The aero was a game changer.
There is no noise, just like when I have the planks off. (Note: You will have noise when the roof rack is loaded with gear)

With this addition to WK2 Roof Rack, the wind noise is gone even at high speed. It allows full functionality for sunroof operation and doesn't block the view.
In addition, it adds a nice look for the vehicle.

Customers can build the roof rack they want, and easily reconfigure it (add-remove-reposition components) whenever their needs change. Best of all, each Plank provides two channels for captive T-Nuts. This feature allows you to easily bolt accessories to the Plank at any point along the entire length.

For most customers, this KIT isn't required when using Chief Products ROOF RACK (2x Half-Planks).
