• Chief Products WK2 Sump Protection Plate provides critical off-road protection for the underside of your engine. It's made from High-Strength Steel and features a rolled front lip design that is braced against the frame for maximum strength. It delivers recessed rear mounting bolts (impossible to hit off-road) and Slotted Bolt Head Protectors (to protect the front mounting bolts). For serious off-roaders, we're the only company in the world offering a Heavy Duty version (270% stronger than Standard). For WK2 owners with a 5.7L V8, we're the first company in the world to offer an Access Panel version for easy servicing of the 5.7L. Best of all, we now offer a Bare Bones Edition at a great price, without sacrificing any of the top-notch quality Chief Products is known for.

  A heavy duty option for anyone wanting extra protection off-road. Made from 5mm high-strength steel, it is 270% stronger than our Standard protection plate.

  ACCESS PANEL

  Our Standard version with an added access panel for performing oil changes on V8 model WK2s. Includes an additional (4) M6 Chief Products Bolt Head Protectors (Standard) and (4) Wedge-Lock Washers for the access panel.

  BARE BONES EDITION

  We removed some features but not the quality. Doesn't include Bolt Head Protectors. E-Coated in Satin Black (with no powder coat).

On top of that industry-leading electrophoretic coating we apply 80µm of extremely durable powder coat (advanced polyester thermosetting powder).   Every recovery situation has the potential for personal injury. In order to minimise that risk, it is important to familiarise yourself with the proper operation of your recovery equipment before using it, and be constantly safety oriented.
• High Strength

  Engineer rated to 4,500kg WLL (1.5 times GVM of WK2). 1.5 times GVM is considered the engineering minimum standard for recovery points. A 3,000kg GVM vehicle stuck in deep mud/sand needs a high-strength recovery point to safely withstand the forces encountered during recovery. Our engineer rating jumps to 8,000kg when our recovery points are used as a pair with a bridle strap.

  
  

  Winch Compatibility

  If you're installing a winch (or plan to be recovered by one) you'll want a recovery attachment point that is up to the task. For a 10,000lb winch you'll want a recovery attachment point with a minimum WLL of 4,500kg.

  
  

  Safety

  In addition to the engineer rated design, our recovery point also features a 5mm radius on all exposed edges. This ensures safe use with soft shackle recovery gear, while also meeting the required government safety standards (Australian Design Rules as well as various European Pedestrian Safety Standards). The closed loop design delivers a 'Closed Recovery System' ensuring recovery gear won't fall off during recovery. Finally, while our recovery point protrudes through the opening in the lower fascia for easy attachment of recovery gear, it doesn't extend beyond the front most part of the bumper.

  HIGH-STRENGTH

  All versions deliver industry leading load ratings (150kg dynamic & 600kg static). These ratings were independently tested and the test results are certified to comply with Australian Standard (AS 1235-2000) as well as international standards (ISO / PAS 11154 : 2009:2006) and (DIN 75302/02: 1991). During independent testing, our roof rack system successfully withstood 330kg of upward force, 600kg of forward force (including a special 20° off-axis test). To achieve our certification we needed to have less than 10mm of movement in our structure at the tested loads, we had 0.17mm!
  
  One of the keys to our industry leading load ratings is our Mounting Rails. Not only do they transfer forces to the strongest points on the WK2 roof, they also utilise a boxed design that resists deformation at any singular point. This unique design element creates a 'mounting system’ that is much stronger than any of our competitors.

  STEALTH

  Chief Products roof racks are engineered to be extremely aerodynamic (smooth top surface, low profile design and hidden fasteners). These unique aerodynamic features make our roof racks extremely quiet for the majority of our customers. However, the more wind you have the more wind noise will increase. For customers that live in high-wind areas or regularly drive at high-speeds (120kmh+) we've developed a Stealth Air Dam (included with every set of Mounting Rails) that significantly reduces the noise caused by high-velocity air flows. Best of all, this wind noise performance improvement is accomplished utilising a product that mounts out-of-sight (ensuring it doesn't inhibit use of your rack, or obscure views out of your sunroof).

  Chief Products WK2 Roof Rack sits incredibly low at only 86mm above the roofline. We looked at mounting even closer to the vehicle, but during our real-world testing we found it was helpful to have a slight gap between the roof and the rack, so you can slip a hand underneath the rack to wash your roof.

  TIE-DOWN PLATES

  One of the primary usability goals for our WK2 Roof Rack, was that you could easily bolt/fasten/tie-down to the rack at almost any location. Our custom engineered Tie-Down Plates deliver on that goal. They clamp securely between the Planks in a way that allows them to easily move and fasten anywhere along the entire length of the Planks. The centre acts as an easy tie-down location, while the slots on either end hold captive T-Nuts (M6, M8 & M10) that can be used to fasten/bolt just about any accessory you can find. Best of all, when clamped in place they sit completely flush, providing a completely smooth top surface for your platform.

Weighing only 15kg (approx.) when fully installed, it provides off-road protection for the Lower Radiator Core, ACC Camera, Windshield Washer Bottle and Air Suspension Controller. It features a centre section made from 5mm high-strength steel for unparalleled strength, while still providing critical airflow to the lower radiator core. Bolted directly to the sub-frame it provides the very best approach angle possible, and our Bolt Head Protectors protect the front mounting bolts from off-road damage. Best of all, we've designed the WK2 LOWER FRONT GUARD so it installs behind the removable lower front fascia, providing full protection off-road while still allowing you to maintain a factory appearance on-road.

  The lower front fascia can be easily installed over the WK2 LOWER FRONT GUARD, maintaining the great looks of the Jeep Grand Cherokee while driving around town. Then when you're heading off-road, you can easily remove the lower front fascia via (5) 1/4 turn fasteners to reveal the WK2 LOWER FRONT GUARD.

  LOW INSTALLED WEIGHT

  Only 15kg (approx.) when fully installed. This is extremely light when compared to a Bull Bar which often weighs 40kgs (alloy) - 90kgs (steel).

  BETTER COOLING PERFORMANCE

  Our design provides significant air flow to the lower radiator core. This is especially important if you're towing, operating in hot climates or have additional items (off-road lights, etc.) restricting airflow to the radiator core. Considering a large portion of airflow comes up from the road surface, we're often surprised how many competing lower protection products are missing this critical feature.

  Every recovery situation has the potential for personal injury. In order to minimise that risk, it is important to familiarise yourself with the proper operation of your recovery equipment before using it, and be constantly safety oriented.
• High Strength

  Engineer rated to 4,500kg WLL (1.5 times GVM of WK2). 1.5 times GVM is considered the engineering minimum standard for recovery hooks. A 3,000kg GVM vehicle stuck in deep mud/sand needs a high-strength recovery hook to safely withstand the forces encountered during recovery. Our engineer rating jumps to 8,000kg when our recovery hooks are used as a pair with a bridle strap.

  
  

  Winch Compatibility

  If you're installing a winch (or plan to be recovered by one) you'll want a recovery hook that is up to the task. For a 10,000lb winch you'll want a recovery hook with a minimum WLL of 4,500kg.

  
  

  Safety

  In addition to the engineer rated design, our recovery hooks also features a 5mm radius on all exposed edges. This ensures safe use with soft shackle recovery gear, while also meeting the required government safety standards (Australian Design Rules as well as various European Pedestrian Safety Standards). Finally, while our recovery hook protrudes through the opening in the lower fascia for easy attachment of recovery gear, it doesn't extend beyond the front most part of the bumper.

We've engineered a winch mounting system that can remain completely hidden while still being 100% compatible with all of your Jeep's safety systems (air bags, adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, lane departure warning and parking sensor systems). It delivers numerous industry leading features - including an engineer certified 10,000lb max rating, E-Coat Corrosion Protection and a very low 12.85kg install weight. By positioning the winch between the chassis structure (lower than our competitors) we're able to provide significantly improved cooling, better off-axis strength, as well as more space for larger winches.   We've engineered our hidden winch system from the ground-up to evenly distribute recovery forces to the chassis of the WK2. This unique approach is especially important during high load pulls and off-axis recoveries that can easily twist (and sometimes even tear) the monocoque chassis of the WK2. Unlike our competitors, we mount to the chassis in multiple locations and strategically use high-strength steels to ensure recovery forces are evenly distributed and don't overload the chassis mounting points. Through FEA computer modelling and (12) months of real world testing we've delivered a high-strength winch mounting system that you can rely on when you need it most.

  
  

  Maintain OEM Appearance

  The WK2 Hidden Winch Mount can be installed behind your bumper and lower front fascia, maintaining the great looks of your Jeep Grand Cherokee. Then if needed you can still easily remove the lower front fascia when heading off-road.

  We utilise E-Coat (Electrophoretic Coating) to provide the very highest corrosion protection available for steel automotive parts. Deposited from a water-based solution using a high voltage DC charge, the process coats all wet surfaces with an extremely tough and highly corrosion resistant finish that is unlike any other process. On top of that industry-leading electrophoretic coating we apply 80µm of extremely durable powder coat (advanced polyester thermosetting powder). Finally, whenever possible we build our products with highly corrosion resistant materials and fasteners (stainless steel, aluminium alloys, etc.) to provide enduring protection against corrosion when a coating is scratched or damaged off-road.

A Chief Products Shop Rag for all the dirty jobs around the garage. All packaged with extreme care to arrive safely and looking great.

Chief Products Hawse Winch Fairlead delivers slim lines, large smooth radiuses (perfect for synthetic ropes) and a mirror polish finish. For maximum strength each fairlead is CNC machined from a solid billet of 6061 T6 Aluminium. We then perform high-speed machine polishing to ensure every surface is smooth and radiant. As a final process to protect the finish and deliver maximum protection from the elements, each fairlead receives 20µm of Type II Anodising.
